Shoreline Yacht Club Cruise - September 26-28
Shoreline Village is where the FUN begins!  From the Queen Mary & the Aquarium to Live Music and Fantastic Dining destinations - All are a FREE bus & water taxi ride away.  Join our Cruise Chairs Cristie George & Janet Bubar Rich for this fun weekend!  Registration opens August 26 and the cruise is $60 per person.  If you would like to drive down it will be $35 per person.  Please see flyer for itinerary information.

Rosh Hashanah Dinner - September 24
L'Shana Tova!!  Happy New Year from Del Rey Yacht Club!  Join us for our traditional Rosh Hashanah Dinner.  Menu to include Challah, Honey & Apples, Mixed Green Salad, Braised Brisket, Potato Latkes and more.  Dinner will be from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.  $24.95++ for Adults and $17.95++ for kids under 12 years old.  Make your reservations with the Front Office.


Camp Emerald Bay Cruise - September 19-21
Cruise to Camp Emerald Bay and enjoy its outstanding facilities, full food service and more!  Join the fun with members of other Southern california yacht clubs and experience being a kid again!  Acitivities available from Archery, Riflery, Guided Hikes, Pottery, Kayaking, Swimming, Canoeing and Snorkeling.  "Fun is meant to be had!"  $80 per person includes 5 meals, drinks & appetizers, and all activities.  If you are interested in staying in a cabin it is an additional $20 per pereson.  Early reservations are encouraged and registration is now open!

Auxiliary Trip to Glen Ivy Spa - September 15
Has this summer been a stressful one?  Do you need a little relaxation?  It's time to take a day off and join the Auxiliary for a day at the spa!  Come down to DRYC and meet everyone at the Club before you caravan and head out to the Glen Ivy Hot Springs!  Enjoy 19 unique pools, spas and baths.  Nosh on a lunch buffet with healthy and tasty selections.  Additional premium amenities are available at cost.  This trip is $46 per person with a 10% discount available to those 65 years+.  Please sign up at the Front Office.

Sundown Series #5 - September 12
It's time for the last Sundown Series Race!!  Join us for the last series race of the Summer!  PHRF, Novice, Lido14, Dinghy and Paddleboards are all welcome!  Entry Fee is $5 except for College Students, Juniors and Dinghy Participants.  Don't forget to join us for the after race BBQ! King Harbor Cruise - September 12-14
Let's cruise or drive to Redondo Beach and King Harbor Yacht Club with our Cruise Chairs Allan & Paula Bertik!  Meet us there to explore this mainstay landmark of SoCal!  There will be a Sea Lab Tour available, Friday Night Cocktails at the bar, Walking maps provided.  This is a FREE cruise, no boat fees!  Registration open August 12.  Please visit the Front Office to pick up the registration form.

CPR Certification, First Aid & AED Education Class - September 7
Do you know what to do if someone is choking?  Or how to handle someone in an emergency until paramedics arrive?  If not, you  should sign up for this class to learn first aid techniques, how to use the AED machine and get CPR certified!  Join our Fleet Surgeon Alan Frischer at 10:00am for this life saving training class.  It is $45 per person and reservations are required with the Front Office.

Hospitality Harvest Moon Festival - September 6
Join us for a little dining and dancing under the moon and stars!!  Dinner will start at 6:30pm with a buffet featuring salads, BBQ Chicken and Pork Ribs, Vegetarian Baked Beans and Corn on the Cobb.  There will be music and dancing all night!  A party for all the senses!  This event is $27.95 all inclusive.  Please sign up with the Front Office to reserve your spot!

Commodore's Cruise - August 28-September 1
Aloha Ilona!!  Join your DRYC Ohana (family) on this year's Hawaiian themed cruise to Cat Harbor with your Commodore Ilona Fellows!  There will be hawaiian games, kayak races, live band and more!!  Adults are $90 and kids are $65.  This cruise will fill up so don't wait until the last minute!  Registration opens July 14.

Alamitos Bay Cruise - August 21-25
Join us for this new and exciting 4-day cruise to Long Beach Yacht Club in beautiful Alamitos Bay!  Activities include:  Dockside Continental Breakfast, fabulous cocktail/dinner parties nightly, BBQ feast in Naples, Polynesian Dinner with entertainmetn at LBYC, dinghy ride through Naples with lunch at a waterside restaurant, Cocktail cruise to dinner aboard M.V. Pastabilities, and leisurely walks through Belmont Shores and Seal Beach.  Space for this cruise is limited so sign-up early!  Reservations will be available beginning Monday, July 7.

National Day Out - Tuesday, August 5 from 4-8pm
The L.A. Sheriff's Dept. and DRYC invite you to National Night Out here at the Club. National Night Out is a nationwide event coordinated by local Sheriff's Departments around the country to focus on safety, education and recognizing our local heroes and enforcement officers. This event will feature special speakers, manned booths to educate us on bicycle safety and registration, sidewalk CPR, water safety and much more, as well as a life vest exchange. There will also be tours of the Sheriff, Lifeguard and Fire Dept boats. Free food will be provided by local area restaurants Morfia's Ribs, Baja Cantina and member-owned C&O Cucina. Come on out for this fun and educational night. Call the Office to sign-up and feel free to bring friends and family.

August Movie Night - August 1
Join us in Andrew's Place Bar for a fun comedy featuring Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Bacon called Picture Perfect!  It is about a young advertising executive whose life becomes increasingly complicated when she pretends to be engaged to a man she has just met in order to impress her boss.  Come early for dinner and drinks!  Dessert will be provided.  Movie starts at 7:30pm.

Hospitality Hollywood Bowl Trip - July 26
Del Rey Yacht Club goes to:  Hollywood Bowl!  This year we will go see the nineteen-time grammy award winning Gloria Estefan!  Arrive early and socialize with fellow members and friends.  Bring food & drinks to enjoy while we listen to the latin rhythym of the beat.  We only have a few tickets left!  Call the Front Office for reservations.

Newport Cruise - July 17-20
It's time for our annual Cruise to Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club!  Join your cruise chairs as they have a fun filled weekend planned for you!  Start the weekend off with a dinghy cruise of Newport Harbor followed by cocktails & appetizers later in the evening at BCYC.  The next day will include breakfast at the club and an optional shopping trip to Fashion Island and South Coast Plaza.  $65 per person for full cruise participation.  Member's driving down may pay per meal.  Please choose the appropriate option on the registration form.  No cancellations after Sunday, July 13.

Moons & Tunes Cruise - July 12
Let's take a cruise to watch the sun set and the moon rise!  Join us for an exciting evening of entertainment and "we'll dance to our favorite tunes".  Meet us at 6:30pm to cruise Santa Monica Bay with your fellow members and friends.  Then join us in the Clubhouse for live music, dancing and dessert!  Reservations are required please sign up at the Front Office.

Bastille Night in the Dining Room - July 11
Bon Apetit!  We will be having a special French themed night in the Main Dining Room.  Appetizers will include, but not limited to, Escargot with Garlic Butter, Petite Marmite, Smoked Quail Salad.  Entrees include Fresh Dover Sole, Lobster Thermidor Classic, New York Minuet Steak, Beef Bourguignon and Roasted Rack of Lamb Provencal.  We will also have a la carte dessert menu of Neapolitan Tart, Paris Brest Cake, Cognac Mousse with Raspberries and more!  **Regular menu will not be available tonight.  Please make your reservations with the Front Office.

4th of July BBQ - July 4
Happy 4th of July!!  We will be having a fun and delicious BBQ buffet out on the Aft Deck.  BBQ will be from 5:00-8:00pm. Menu will include BBQ Chicken, Ribs, Hamburgers, Veggie Burgers, Hot Dogs, Corn on the Cob, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Fresh Sliced Watermelon and much more!  Adults $15.95++ and kids under 12 years old $10.95++.  Reservations are required, please sign up at the Front Office. **Main Dining Room will be open with a limited menu.  Fireworks start at 9:00pm.

4th of July Cruise - July 3-6
It's time for our annual 4th of July Cruise to Cat Harbor!  Join our Cruise Chairs as they plan a fun weekend filled with poker, softball game, bingo, dinghy parade, dog show, food, fun and more!!!  Fireworks show will be on Saturday at the Isthmus.  Registration is now open.  Adults $85 and kids under 15 years old $45.  Login to the Member's Only section of the website to register online or see the Front Office for a paper form.

Dropping Anchor Education Class - June 29
Your anchor is a safety device.  It can save your life.  This seminar will show you how to drop your anchor quickly and safely.  Anchoring in secluded coves fringed with palm trees will also be covered.  Seminar starts at 10:30am.  Please sign up at the Front Office.

Auxiliary Trip to Port of Long Beach - June 26
Join us for a bus ride to Long Beach and an exciting SUNSET cruise of the Port of Long Beach.  Start with dinner at Parker's Lighthouse then head on down to the dock to load the boat for a relaxing and fun cruise through the harbor. Hospitality Chili Cook-Off - June 14
Talk is cheap... You've all heard it before:  Everyone you know claims THEY make the best chili ever.  Now it's time to find out who REALLY does!!  Bring your best work for everyone to try.  Come up with a catchy name.  We will have two competition categories:  Traditional and Vegetarian/Vegan Chili.  Festivities start at 3:00pm, Adults $9 and kids $5 which will include chili sampling, beer (for the adults), soda, salad and bread.  Please RSVP with the Front Office.

Memorial Day Weekend Cruise - May 22-26

Calling all movie buffs!  Join us for a presentation of The Manchurian Candidate starring Angela Lansbury, Henry Silva and James Gregory.  This movie is about a former Korean War POW that is brainwashed by Communists into becoming a political assassin.  But another former prisoner may know how to save him.  Come early for a bite to eat and drinks in the bar.  Dessert will be provided.  Movie starts at 7:30pm.

Auxiliary Pasadena Showcase House Tour - April 22
Join us for a special tour of the 50th Pasadena Showcase House of Design.  Over ninety volunteers prepare the house for this special tour every year to raise money for the LA Philharmonic Association to help pay for the Pasadena series of concerts.  This is one of the largest, most successful and oldest house and garden tours in the US.  Meet at the Showcase House at 10:00am.  Tickets are $45 and lunch is on your own.  There is complimentary parking and shuttle service from the Rose Bowl.  Please wear comfortable flat shoes.  Reservations are required, limited tickets available.

Easter Brunch and Dinner - April 20
Happy Easter!  Bring your family and friends to our Easter feast!  We have a wonderful champagne brunch featuring a variety of delicious salads, omelet station, carving stations and more!  Brunch is from 11:00am-2:00pm and is $32.95++ for adults and $20.95++ for kids ages 2-12 years old.  If you are not able to make it to Brunch then come on down to Easter Dinner from 5:30pm-8:30pm.  Entrees include Sauteed Fresh White Fish, Glazed Ham, Roasted Prime Rib, Roasted Leg of Lamb and Stuffed Chicken.  Please make reservations early with the Front Office.

DRYC Passover Dinner - April 14
Pesach Sameach!  Join us for our annual Passover Dinner starting at 6:00pm.  We will have our traditional menu of Matzo and Haroset, Seder Plate, Gelfilte Fish, Matzo Ball Soup, Brisket of Beef, Passover Sponge Cake and Macaroons.  Murray Kaplan will be conducting the Seder.  $32.95++ for Adults and $19.95++ for kids 2-12 years old.

Cat Harbor Mooring Education Class - April 13
This is a great class to learn the best and safest way to moor for power and sail boats, large and small boats, sailing solo and with a mate.  We'll discuss use of fenders and lines.  We'll even give you some hints about cruising with DRYC and how to make it a satisfying experience.  Class starts at 10:30am.  Please sign up at the Front Office.
**This class is required before you are able to get a club mooring or participate in a club sponsored cruise.

1040 Tax Dinner - April 12
Done with your taxes?  Come on down and enjoy a special meal dedicated to going easy on your wallet!  Choose from delicious entrees that include Slow Roasted Chicken,Country Style Meatloaf, Sauteed Filet of Sole, Penne Primavera, or Sauteed Calamari Steak all for only $10.40 per entree!  We also have dessert choices of Fresh Fruit Salad, Zesty Lemon Pie or Ice Cream Melba with Fresh Berries for $5.40!  Dinner starts at 6:00pm and reservations are required.

Do you ever wonder what else goes on at LA International Airport?  Did you know there is a museum that displays historical facts from our aeronautical past?  Join us for a free bus tour of LAX and the Flight Path Museum.  Meet at the Museum at 8:30am followed by lunch at Proud Bird.  Reservations are required, please sign up at the Front Office.
